After a very impressive season with Crystal Palace in the Championship, Wilfred Zaha became the top transfer target of a host of clubs, with giant duo Arsenal and Manchester United at the top of the bunch. But then after Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson wooed the youngster, he opted to join the Red Devils. The rest is of course disappointing history: Sir Alex retired and David Moyes took his place as Wilfred Zaha's manager and subsequently put him into the reserves, amidst rumours of familial foul-play. Now that Moyes has been sacked and Van Gaal has come in, the latest rumours are suggesting that the young winger is surplus to requirements and will soon be on his way out of the club, and though he is sure to attract a number of suitors, it's not likely Arsenal will be back in for him. It is a terrible outcome for a player with so much talent, and it is an outcome that may have been so very different had he chosen Wenger to be his guide.
