Upset this April with football under (ironically) David Moyes, Everton was seen as a possible way out for the Manchester United forward. The successful moves of Tim Howard, Phil Neville and to an extent Darren Gibson (goal against Manchester City, 2012) was surely considered by Wellbeck during United's horrible season. With Louis Van Gaal now at the helm and the realistic chance of starting for England during the World Cup, Wellbeck's move to Everton appears to be on hold. Perhaps with the help of fellow England stars Baines, Jagielka and Barkley, Wellbeck may soon find himself on Merseyside. Wellbeck's strike rate is a definite question mark for Roberto Martinez and with transfer funds pretty thin at Everton, I would be very surprised to see this move completed over the summer.
