10 Strikers Who Newcastle Should Sign Instead Of Charlie Austin

10. Wissam Ben Yedder

Age: 24 Club: Toulouse Nationality: French Estimated Market Value: £8.5 million League Apps (2014-15): 36 League Goals (2014-15): 15 Wissam Ben Yedder has scored 45 goals in his last three seasons in Ligue 1 and has been linked with a move to Sevilla this summer (as well as Barcelona last year) following the departure of their star striker Carlos Bacca. The French Under-21 International has received a priceless education during his time at Toulouse and has matured into a fine young striker. The 24-year-old scored against Paris Saint-Germain last season and possessed a natural, quick-witted, No 9 instinct in front of goal. This forward has similarities to Ayoze Perez and, although he predominantly prefers a central role, he has the ability to play as a ghost striker in a 4-4-1-1 or 4-2-3-1. With Aleksandar Mitrovic presumably leading the line for Steve McClaren this season, the addition of Ben Yedder combined with Perez, Remy Cabella, Georginio Wijnaldum, Rolando Aarons and Siem de Jong would give Newcastle United an extremely refreshing and technically-gifted attacking force.
