10 Summer 2017 Football Transfer Sagas We're Most Excited For
5. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang To Manchester City
If Aubameyang is to end up at Manchester City, it would be something of a surprise. Over the last few years PEA has made no secret of his desire to play Spain and if he was to leave Borussia Dortmund, that would be his preferred destination. Unfortunately for him, none of the giant Spanish clubs seem to be interested at the moment, leading Aubameyang to lining up a move with Paris Saint Germain.
Nothing comes easy in this life though, especially if you're a footballer with a haircut like a mountain top, and the £60 million move to PSG fell though. Despite all these twists and turns, it's highly unlikely that Aubameyang will remain at Dortmund and the club are happy to cash in because it's kind of what they do. In recent years, BVB have seen the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Matts Hummels and Robert Lewandowski depart but not really suffer for it, as they always reinvest the cash very wisely.
If Dortmund do manage to get the quoted £60 million for Aubameyang, expect them to use it develop another superstar. You can also expect Manchester City's front line of Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Aubameyang to make me glad that my team got relegated and don't have to get embarrassed by them.
