10 Talented Players Who Failed At Arsenal

10. Andre Santos

Brazilian international Andre Santos was supposed to add a new dimension of dynamism to the left side of Arsenal€™s side following his 2011 switch from Fenerbahce. Sadly, his time in England never really got going and would become most memorable for his speed on the road rather than on the pitch. Santos managed just 15 Premier League appearances in his first season, rarely hitting the heights many had predicted after his ‚7million move. The critics were already baying for blood following a dismal maiden campaign and that infamous summer speeding incident didn€™t help matters either. Things really took a turn for the worse when he pestered Robin van Persie to swap shirts at half-time during another poor performance at Old Trafford. A return to Brazil came just a few short months later, initially on loan. Unsurprisingly, though, the Premier League never saw Santos again. It proved a sorry chapter for a Brazilian international supposedly in his prime.
