10 Things Arsenal Fans Need To Know About Mathieu Debuchy
6. He May Need To Work On His Passing Game
The absolute, quintessential component of Arsenal's game is passing, but though Debuchy's statistics from last season were impressive, his passing was nothing you would want to write home about. Arsenal fans should brace themselves as this could be a problem, with the French right back potentially needing some adjustment time fill void left by the composed passing of Sagna. But then it could just be an indication of Newcastle's form last season: they weren't exactly a dominate force when it came to possession football and so the statistics could be misleading. Only time will tell though. It is worth noting however, Debuchy was more than a proficient at whipping in dangerous crosses from the right flank and so he would at least still be able to provide Giroud with something to get his head onto (provided he isn't in his usual offside position).
I have been described as a sportsman with the brain of an athlete and the body of a scientist. Since it was established that playing wouldn't work out for me I have taken to writing.
