10 Things Man Utd Need To Learn From City & Liverpool

7. Nothing Lasts Forever

If last season taught us anything at all it is that power can shift at a moment's notice and dynasties that have been built over the course of a 20 year period can crumble to the ground and turn to ash. It might sound melodramatic but in this post-Sir Alex Ferguson era United are in very real danger of being left behind. The Red Devils are one of England's most successful clubs and have seen off pretenders to their throne before - just ask Kevin Keagan and Newcastle United. And when Man City came to the fore following the buyout by the Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, Ferguson and United treated them with scorn and dismissed them as 'noisy neighbours'. Well the neighbours are now playing their music at full volume and are banging on United's doors in the middle of the night. It's almost not a debate that the Citizens are the new top dogs in town, nor is it a debate who has the best side at present. If United can learn anything from City, it's that nothing lasts forever.
