The six-week UK General Election campaign started at the end of March, a full month after Newcastle beat Aston Villa, and commences on Thursday May 7th. Since Parliament was dissolved and during the entire duration of the General Election campaign, when David Cameron's Conservatives and Ed Miliband's Labour Party have gone toe-to-toe in an attempt to win an unlikely outright majority, the Magpies have failed to add a single point to their tally of 35.
