10 Things That Have Happened Since NUFC Last Picked Up A Point
5. Chelsea Have Claimed Two Trophies
There are still three rounds of the Premier League remaining - or four fixtures if you support Arsenal or Sunderland - yet Chelsea have already claimed the title after reaching an unassailable 83 points. They sit 13 points clear of second-placed Manchester City, and the same ahead of third-placed Arsenal who have a game in hand - but Jose Mourinho's men have already sewn up the title. And this after John Terry also lifted the Capital One Cup on March 1st following Chelsea's 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the final at Wembley. By the end of February, Chelsea had played 26 matches were sat on 60 points, while Newcastle were a game further ahead and had 35 points. Man City were just five points behind the Blues and the Premier League title race looked like going down to the wire, but all that changed rather quickly. Fast forward to May and the Magpies are still on 35 points, while Chelsea have accumulated a further 23 in order to claim the Premier League title.
