From February 1998 to May 2005 Tiger did not miss a cut in a professional tournament for a record of 142 in a row. Like any moment of Tigers career when he seemed even the least bit human the tabloids were presenting his career as though it was over for one small hiccup when in reality Tiger went on to win several majors after 2005 to prove he was still the best. That being said, Tiger would rather have you remember the total number of cuts made than the week his streak ended. To put this amazing feat in perspective a little more, the average time spent at number one in the world for anyone else during the tiger era has been less than a year because he has been so dominant. During Tiger's major drought there have been very few repeat winners with a new first-time-winner cropping up in almost every event. Tiger's repeat years of more than one major coincide with his incredible run of form in terms of cuts made.
