A confident young keeper with a bright future ahead of him, Francis Uzoho spent last season with Deportivo's B side, but did enough to make two appearances with the senior squad too, keeping one clean sheet and earning his first international caps with Nigeria.

He's the youngest ever non-Spanish keeper to appear in La Liga and is an incredible physical specimen, standing at 6'5". Since being called up for the World Cup squad, Uzoho has called on Super Eagles' fans to encourage the team and confirmed that he feels more than ready to pull on the shirt and make an appearance at the tournament if needed.

Out of all the Nigerian keepers called up, Uzoho plays for the most prestigious domestic club and is arguably the nation's hottest prospect in goal, so it wouldn't be too much of a surprise to see him appear. Nigeria find themselves in a tricky group, alongside Croatia, Iceland, and the mighty Argentina, so they'll need a great defence and a top class keeper to make it to the latter stages of the tournament.
