11 Most Memorable Spurs Premier League Goals

2. Jurgen Klinsmann Vs Sheffield Wednesday

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luHMIIM8Sys Date: Saturday the 20th of August 1994 Venue: Hillsborough Score: 3-4 (The goal put Spurs 4-2 up) The signing of Jurgen Klinsmann - a World Cup winner - was a massive coup for a struggling Spurs side and a master-stroke by the then Spurs chairman Alan Sugar. On his debut, he scored a trademark diving header to round off Tottenham's scoring for the day, but it wasn't the quality of the goal itself that makes it so memorable - it was the celebration. Teddy Sheringham and Darren Anderton had given Spurs a two goal lead, before Dan Petrescu and a Colin Calderwood own goal brought Sheffield Wednesday level. Nick Barmby restored Spurs' lead before Klinsmann got on the end of a Darren Anderton cross to make it 4-2 - and subsequently ran to the crowd and did the famous "dive" celebration. David Hirst got another back for Wednesday, but Spurs won 4-3 on a memorable debut for the German striker - a debut that triggered thousands of Klinsmann dive celebrations across the country.
