11 Players Who Stole A Living From Manchester United
9. David Bellion
It certainly raised a few eyebrows when French striker David Bellion was confirmed as a United player back in 2003, with United initially signing the player on a free transfer - though the move would eventually cost them a couple of million quid after it emerged that United 'tapped up' the former Sunderland striker. In between spells in a youthful first team at the time and loan spells with other clubs, Bellion seriously showed himself up as being completely out of his depth at Old Trafford, though he could run - REALLY FAST. That was to prove a benefit as speed can kill in sport, though his lack of footballing ability made him easy and predictable for defenders. He ended up making just over 30 appearances for United and scored 6 goals. Now 31, Bellion is still managing to make a living out of football with Red Star Belgrade, having just completed a free transfer switch from Bordeaux in his native France. The prolific striker has managed to bag under 50 goals in over 270 professional games - a quite unbelievable record for a striker. By the way, that 'unbelievable' was meant to come across as sarcastic.
