12 Newcastle Players Who Returned For A Second Spell On Tyneside

4. Robbie Elliott

First Spell (1991-97): League Appearances: 79 League Goals: 9 Second Spell (2001-06): League Appearances: 63 League Goals: 2 Two spells at Newcastle United for Gosforth-born Elliott brought 133 Premier League appearances and nine goals - as well as Champions League football on both occasions. The dependable left-back played under Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalglish, Sir Bobby Robson and Graeme Souness - and never let his boyhood club down. Hardly the most gifted of footballers, Elliott gave his all for the cause and always performed admirably in defence - even providing important cover to the Magpies' first teamers towards the end of his career.
