12 Things NUFC Fans Need To Know About Paco Jemez

11. He Has Managed Five Different Teams In Spain Since 2007

Jemez began his coaching career with RSD Alcala in Spain's lower leagues in 2007, before moving to Cordoba in the Segunda Division the following season. With 11 matches of the campaign remaining Jemez was sacked due to his side's modest performances, but Cartagena took a gamble on him - and he got the Murcia club promoted to the second tier for the first time in their history. Appointed as coach of struggling UD Las Palmas in April 2010, Jemez kept his hometown club up despite taking over when their position looked perilous - but was still dismissed anyway. He then returned to Cordoba and took them to the first round of the second division play-offs, before being appointed Rayo Vallecano boss in June 2012.
