2017 NBA Draft Lottery: 10 Ideal Selections For The First 10 Teams

2. Dallas Mavericks - <span Style="font-size: 15px;">Dennis Smith Jr</span>

The Dallas Mavericks have a very strained relationship with the NBA Draft. They have a tendency to throw the draft by the wayside in favor of building through free agency and trades. However, this year, they have the #9 pick and they should go with North Carolina State point guard Dennis Smith Jr.

The former Wolfpack member would be an ideal back court partner for Seth Curry, who seems to have his brother's proclivity for three point shooting, but not his ability to facilitate an offense.

Enter Smith, who has an average deep shot, but thrives as a shot creator and could greatly benefit the team's shooters. He also excels at attacking the basket and finishing around the rim, as evident by his 18.1 points per game in college, giving the Mavs back court a powerful one-two punch of slashing and shooting.

Virgil Atkinson hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
