25 Worst Premier League Signings Ever

16. Bebe

Possibly Sir Alex Ferguson's most bizarre signing in his illustrious history; the formerly homeless Portuguese forward was signed from Vitoria for £7.4m despite only recently signing for the Primeira Liga club, and Ferguson himself admitting he had never seen him play €“ instead going on a recommendation from his former assistant manager Carlos Queiroz.

Immediately thrown into the United first team, it was clear that Bebe was vastly out of his depth at the club, appearing only seven times before being allowed to head out on loan.

Three loan spells later, and still with no hope of breaking into the first eleven, he was quietly allowed to return to Portugal with Benfica in 2014.
