4 Reasons Chelsea’s Win At Man City Was So Impressive
Forget five goal thrillers, last minute equalisers & games rife with controversey. Manchester City 0 - 1 Chelsea was the most impressive performance of the season to date. In a game billed (and rightly so) as the biggest of the season, Chelsea showed just why they are genuine title contenders, despite Jose's attempts to convince us otherwise. Premier League neutrals were given a treat at the Etihad last night, from start to finish the match had a real top of the table feel about it. Of course, that is not literally true as Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side sit at the summit of the league, looking down to Chelsea and Manchester City with a seemingly precarious two point gap. The match itself was decided by an unstoppable shot from Serbian full-back Branislav Ivanovic. The goal came after Eden Hazard's skill and persistance had created an opening for Ramires. Vincent Komapny's John Terry esque block fell kindly to Ivanovic on the edge of City's box and the Serb drilled home a low left footed half volley, leaving Joe Hart with no chance. So Chelsea have seemingly and inevitably 'blown the title race wide open'. Click next to see four reasons why this win was so impressive.
