5 Candidates For The 2014 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot

5. Karim Benzema

The Real Madrid striker has looked unstoppable during the first week of the World Cup in Brazil scoring three goals in two games. The Frenchman€™s career has not quite exploded as much as expected since his ‚35M from Lyon in 2009 despite winning the Champions League and La Liga title in his five year spell in Spain. His brace against European neighbours Switzerland saw him score France€™s 101st goal at the World Cup Finals, but don€™t expect it too be too long before that number is increased by the end of the tournament. After making his debut in 2007, Benzema is one of the more experienced international players in the French team and he is proving that he has all the attributes to take home this year€™s Golden boot.
