5 Candidates For Spurs Captaincy If Michael Dawson Leaves

5. Younes Kaboul

Kaboul's persistent injuries have hampered his form in recent seasons - he was one of the best defenders in the Premier League prior to that - and, as such, he hasn't had much game time and he might not necessarily be the kind of player Spurs want to keep but, if he can keep fit and convince Pochettino that he is worth keeping, there is no doubt that he could captain the club extremely adeptly. An imposing central defender - not unlike Michael Dawson in terms of his vocal influence on the pitch - Kaboul has everything needed of a defender when he's in shape and he could potentially be like a new signing if Spurs' physiotherapists can get him to 100%. Sadly, that seems unlikely, but he absolutely deserves a mention on this list.
