5 MMA Fights For Stephan Bonnar To Take In Bellator

1. Tito Ortiz

This match seems to be a done deal. The Huntington Beach Bad Boy appears to be Stephan Bonnar's first fight in Bellator MMA, and it's a fight that makes sense for both fighters. Bonnar hasn't fought since losing to Anderson Silva at UFC 153 in 2012, and after the bout he was popped for using anabolic steroids. Despite being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, Bonnar hasn't been doing much of late, and it appears a planned move to pro wrestling hasn't panned out. Bonnar's quote from the Bellator press release on his signing says it all: "I want everyone to know I'm coming out of retirement because it's time to free the MMA world of the virus that's known as Tito Ortiz,€ Bonnar said. €œWe've been suffering through his boring fights for too many years, and it's about time that someone beats it out of him once and for all." This is, of course, manufactured hype. Bonnar is doing this for the money, and he's good enough at promoting (it's worth checking out his blood-splattered photo currently decorating the main page of bellator.com) to make it an interesting watch. The fight is must-see even if it's a senior's league battle, so stay tuned.
