5 Moments That Defined Luis Suarez's Liverpool Career

2. Biting Branislav Ivanovic

He had twice done it before - to PSV Eindhoven's Otman Bakkal in 2010 while playing for Ajax and Branislav Ivanovic in 2013 while representing Liverpool. For the latter, Suarez was handed a 10-game ban by the FA when TV footage showed the striker grab hold of the Chelsea defender's arm and chomp down with his teeth in an off the ball incident. It was one of the most astonishing things Premier League fans had ever seen, and was perhaps the only incident of its kind in the history of English football. Liverpool were forced to deal without their talisman for the opening month of the 2013-14 season but Suarez came back with a bang to score 31 times despite playing only 33 league games due to the suspension.
