3. Brendan Rodgers
No matter which way you look at it, Liverpool are a long, long way off being Premier League contenders again. They are currently in the bottom half of the table, after a draw with Swansea today, and sit just 6 points off 18th placed Aston Villa in the relegation zone. They are also by no means guaranteed a place in the knock out stages of the Europa League either - they must defeat Udinese away - a side who prevailed 3-2 at Anfield in the reverse fixture - and hope Anzhi Makhachkala defeat Young Boys to be sure of progress. Domestically they aren't faring much better. They thrashed Wigan 3-0 earlier this month, but three successive draws - two of them at home - came before that. The job at Anfield is a long-term one. They will not be transformed into Premier League contenders over night. They have shot themselves in the foot really in the transfer market by agreeing to Andy Carroll's loan move to West Ham, leaving them with just one senior striker in Luiz Suarez, but that decision must rest on the shoulders of Rodgers. It didn't make any sense to me, and he can't make too many more bad decisions like these.
