5 NFL Quarterbacks Who Will Improve In 2017 (And 5 Who Won't)

It may seem stupid to predict that Eli Manning will decline in 2017, considering that he has Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, and Sterling Shepard to throw to and an absolute killer defense backing him up. However, while Eli won't fall off as badly as others on this list, there are certainly some troubling signs for him and the New York Giants.

The biggest issue is that the Giants' offensive line, one of the worst in 2016, simply hasn't improved. They didn't add anyone of impact in free agency and they paid very little attention to it in the draft. A bad o-line means more defenders chasing Eli, which means more interceptions from a man who famously doesn't throw well under pressure.

Additionally, the Giants haven't improved their fleet of running backs, which mostly consists of unproven rookies or veterans only good in small doses. They don't have a back good enough to carry a substantial load and take some of the burden off Eli. The younger Manning brother simply doesn't have the personnel around him to unlock the best version of himself.

Virgil Atkinson hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
