5 Premier League Strikers That Have Overperformed This Season

5. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Some people might be surprised to see Sergio Aguero's name to be featured in this list, since it shouldn't be that much of a surprise that the Argentine striker is the second leading EPL goalscorer with 13 goals already this season. However, level of performance is always a relative term. Manchester City signed Aguero from Atletico Madrid for £38 million, and he had a stunning debut season in the Premier League by scoring 23 goals. Things did not go according to plan for him last season as he suffered injury problems and ended the season with just 12 league goals. Expectations for him this season then would have been relatively modest, but the fact of the matter is he has excelled, and his performances has played a big part in Man City's strong start to the season especially in terms of home form. We all hope that Aguero can continue to produce this kind of form and firmly establish himself as a leading EPL striker.
