4. Karim Benzema
France striker Benzema may be competing with international teammate Olivier Giroud for club as well as country sooner rather than later. Reports on the web claim Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has struck a deal with Madrid over a
£22 million transfer for him in January with Benzema also agreeing personal terms. It's no secret that Benzema, 25, has been a long-term target of the Gunners, so a contract for four years with a weekly pay packet of £80,000 could well be on the cards. The Bernabeu crowd have been scornful towards him this season, but his goal drought ended with a La Liga brace in the 7-3 win over Sevilla. Arsenal are in need of backup for Giroud as Denmark flop Nicklas Bendtner is constantly
linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners also have South Korea international Park Ju-Young on their books, but he only made a handful of appearances for the club. Real meanwhile have a glut of other forward options and could easily use Portugal icon Cristiano Ronaldo as the focal point of their attack if Benzema leaves. There have also been consistent
rumours that Madrid will move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
