5 Reasons Liverpool Won't Win The League (And 1 Why They Might)

1. Leak Goals

Defence is a key area in a title race. It's important to score goals, which Liverpool are extremely capable of doing, but you must also be able to keep it tight at the back and stop the opposition finding the net- which Liverpool don't do well. The Reds conceded seven goals in their four Premier League games in February and didn't keep a single clean sheet. Five of these goals conceded came against lesser sides that are struggling in relegation trouble- Fulham and Swansea City. Liverpool have only managed to keep two clean sheets in this calendar year and haven't kept consecutive back-to-back clean sheets since the first two games of the season against Stoke City and Aston Villa. In fact, Liverpool have just managed to keep seven clean sheets this season and have conceded 35 goals this season. In the top eleven sides in the Premier League, only Newcastle United have scored more. That doesn't bode well for a side aspiring to be league champions but they do have one thing going in their favour...
