Manchester United are often a team which tends to cross the ball a fair amount of times each game. If a team plays a style where they like to cross the ball or use modern wingers, then surely you must have reliable wingers who can do that. United are really being pulled back by the quality of their current wide midfielders, with the likes of Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young barely contributing to games. I think the fans need to get excited when the ball is played to their wingers, not groan every time Young fails to do anything imaginative. Back when they had a certain Cristiano Ronaldo, you would be on your feet to see what he would bring to the field. They have lost that fear factor and never replaced it. Two suggestions would be the highly rated Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus, who can play a variety of positions, or Antoine Griezmann, who has been prominent in Real Sociedad's current season.
