7 Newcastle Players Who Deserve A Chance To Help The Magpies Survive

2. Paul Dummett

Last seen in the 2-1 home defeat to Southampton back in January, defender Paul Dummett has been sidelined with a persistent knee problem. In an ideal world Dummett would be slowly reintegrated back into the first-team picture, but Newcastle's position is one that could easily be described as desperation - so the Welsh international should be restored to either centre-back or left-back at Leicester City on Saturday. The 23-year-old has brought a calm reassurance to the back four during his 21 Premier League appearances this season and, when paired alongside Fabricio Coloccini, has helped form Newcastle's best centre-back duo this campaign. He should be rushed back in an attempt to stop the Magpies conceding goals for fun.
