'7 Players Can Stay At Monaco, Rest Will Leave'

The money is drying up in the principalities...

After securing a place in the Champions League qualifying stages with a third place finish in Ligue 1, Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim told the media the list of players that will be at the club next season. Jardim, who famously led ASM past Arsenal in last years Champions League Round of 16, has said that he only wants to keep seven players. While speaking to French newspaper L'‰QUIPE, Jardim said: "Bernardo Silva and Anthony Martial will stay, as will Nail Dirar, Danijel Subasic, Andrea Raggi, Elderson and Jeremy Toulalan. "All the others could leave for financial reasons. When a player leaves, we buy another one. That is why scouting is fundamental in our strategy". Perhaps the most high-profile player on the list is 19-year-old striker Anthony Martial who is tipped to become one of the leading players in the world in years to come. It was reported that Spurs had an £18.1 million bid accepted for the wonder kid, but Monaco seem to have gone back on their word by announcing they want to keep him at the Stade Louis II. Other big names not included on the list released by Jardim include Man United flop Falcao, who we all already knew was on his way out. Also likely to leave the principality is Portuguese playmaker Joao Moutinho, who walk into a lot of Europe€™s top sides. Geoffrey Kondogbia, who scored against Arsenal in that Champions League win, has been linked with a move to The Emirates for sometime now and that may just happen this summer. Also leaving is young French left-back Layvin Kurzawa, who has been rumoured to be tempting Manchester City as a long term replacement for Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov, as both approach their 30€™s.
