7 Players Left Out Of Newcastle's USA Squad - What's It Mean For Their Futures?

1. Haris Vuckic

Rarely seen in a Newcastle shirt for more than two seasons, Vuckic performed well on loan at Rangers in the Scottish Championship towards the latter part of the 2014-15 campaign.

The Slovenian spoke earlier this month of his desire to be given the opportunity to prove himself by McClaren, but WhatCultureNUFC understands that Vuckic - who was the only player named in the Gateshead matchday squad not to get on to the field at the International Stadium - will be allowed to leave if he wants to this summer.

With Rangers, Bolton Wanderers, Bristol City, Burnley and Hull City all queuing up for the signature of a player who is deemed surplus to McClaren's requirements on Tyneside, Vuckic's Newcastle career appears to be over.

In fact, the club did not even name Vuckic in the players left out of the tour as a result of injury - and that cannot be a good sign for the Slovenian.

It seems Vuckic may never kick a ball in a black-and-white shirt again.
