7 Summer Signings Who Will Go On To Have Huge Success In The Premier League

1. Davinson Sanchez

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino left it late in the transfer window when it came to making signings, adding two big name players right at the death to appease the worries of Spurs fans up and down the country.

One of those signings was Colombian starlet Davinson Sanchez, who, despite starring for Ajax last year, was a relatively unknown quantity in England.

Things have started superbly for the 21-year-old Sanchez, who has looked an assured presence after being chucked straight into the starting line-up by Pochettino alongside seasoned central defensive pairing Toby Alderweireld and Jan Verthongen. While many defenders might crumble under the pressure, Sanchez appears to have taken it all in his stride and looks every bit as assured as the Belgian pair alongside him.

The Premier League has seen some world class defenders over the years in the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Jaap Stam, and John Terry to name but a few, but judging on what we have seen so far and what we saw for Ajax last year, Sanchez can go on to be mentioned in the same breath as those players.
