7 Teams Who Can Win The Champions League Based On Performances In Gameweek One

4. Chelsea

Another English club returning to the tournament but this time with a season under their belts without any European football whatsoever is Chelsea.

Led by their enigmatic manager Antonio Conte, the Blues had an easy looking task against the relatively unknown Qarabag in week one. However, Chelsea made changes themselves, dropping Alvaro Morata and not risking Eden Hazard. Still, the Blues romped to an impressive 6-0 victory at the Bridge.

It was the first time we have seen Conte lead his team in Europe and this no nonsense display suggests they are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the competition. Their high energy and intense style of play will be too much for many in Europe, and it would be no surprise to see them go all the way with a bit of luck.

Conte himself will lodge himself in history forever if he can win the trophy, becoming only the second manager along with Roberto Di Matteo to guide the club to European glory.
