The deal has, once again, be brokered by Mondial Sport Management, an agency who've had a hand in bringing Yohan Cabaye, Mathieu Debuchy, Hatem Ben Arfa, Moussa Sissoko, Remy Cabella, Florian Thauvin, Emmanuel Riviere and Aleksandar Mitrovic to Tyneside in recent seasons.

What does this mean? Well, very little on the face of it, save for the fact that Newcastle still seem to trust these agents (and are happy to pay their fess) despite the most recent names on that list all being mitigated failures at the club.
