2. Rich Franklin (MMA Record: 29-7 )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2n5CJqO0oc Before the long reign of Anderson Silva, there was the Middleweight Champion of the world, Rich Franklin. The Math Teacher turned MMA Fighter started his career 22-1, with his lone loss coming at the hands of a future UFC Champion in Lyoto Machida. He had a finish in all but one of his fights up to that point, showing off his versatility with both dangerous knockout power and slick submissions in each win. After two dominant wins in two title defenses, people were already calling Rich Franklin one of the greatest Middleweight fighters in MMA History. You know, before Anderson Silva happened. Silva took the UFC by storm, and Franklin was his second victim, knocking him out in just 3 minutes to take the UFC Middleweight Title. Franklin would get another shot after two impressive victories, but Silva shut him down again with yet another barrage of knees for a TKO victory. Rich would have several more fights with notable opponents following his second loss to Silva, including Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva (x2), Chuck Liddell, Vitor Belfort, and Forrest Griffin, beating Silva and Liddell in that stretch. Franklin hasn't fought since a KO loss to Cung Le in 2012, but has said he wants one more fight in the UFC before he retires. If he gets that fight, we'll see one of the most prolific careers in UFC History finally come to a close.
