Former Manchester City manager, Roberto Mancini, took over the reigns at Internazionale last year, and is the eighth man to take charge of the Nerazzurri since 2010. The Serie A side have also been missing out on Champions League football since crashing out to Marseille in the 2011-12 season, in the round of 16.

Money has been available for Mancini this summer and the three time winners have already splashed out big bucks on Monaco defensive midfielder, Geoffrey Kondogbia, after the 22 year old's excellent performances in the Champions League last year.

Competition will be fierce for the side that finished eighth last season, with the seven teams above Inter also vying for one of those three Champions League places. However, with six off those seven competing in European football this season, Inter can fully focus on the League, unlike their opposition.
