By this point you are probably thinking that all of Noah's Ark descends upon the Canadian Grand Prix every year. Yet another animal that loves to make itself known to the drivers is the humble groundhog. These furry spectators come around year after year after year, often getting a little too close for comfort. In 2019, Nicholas Latifi got his first outing in an F1 car that season during First Practice. The Canadian driver had to think quickly to narrowly avoid a groundhog that had placed itself right in the middle of the track.
Latifi made six FP1 appearances before making his full debut with Williams this season. The team have struggled so far in 2021 and Latifi is without a point, as is his teammate George Russell. However, both Latifi and Russell have been retained for 2021.
