Arsenal 1-1 Everton: Premier League Player Ratings

Everton

Tim Howard: Came off his line to deny Giroud and Ramsey. Second save from Ramsey more difficult. Booked for timewasting and could do nothing about the Ozil goal. 6/10.

Seamus Coleman: Outshone by Oviedo on the day the tabloid press linked him to the Gunners. 4.5/10.

Phil Jagielka: Broke forward to start the move that led to Pienaar's chance. Restricted Giroud until the end. 6/10.

Sylvain Distin: Tracked Giroud really well, but dumped on his backside by trickery from Ozil. 5.5/10.

Bryan Oviedo: Energetic up from left back. Put in the cross that led to the equalizer. Shares the man of the match award with Barkley. 7/10.

James McCarthy: Booked for a high foot and misses next game against Fulham as this was his fifth yellow. Peripheral figure here. 5/10.

Gareth Barry: Booked for foul on Ozil, but was good in possession in his own half. 5/10.

Kevin Mirallas: Managed to avoid punishment for fouls and fired just wide with his last action. Subbed. 5.5/10.

Ross Barkley: Always willing to race forward, but final ball sometimes over-hit. Reads the game very well that said. Swerving strike worked Szczesny. Started the move that led to the leveller. Subbed. Shares the man of the match award with Oviedo. 7/10.

Steven Pienaar: Very quiet first half, but drew a save from Szczesny when Everton countered early in the second half. Subbed. 5.5/10.

Romelu Lukaku: Linked well with supporting cast, but all his play was in front of Arsenal or in wide areas. Never found when he made runs in behind the hosts. Tried an acrobatic effort when Oviedo crossed for Deulofeu's goal. Blazed over late on. 5/10.

Subs: Leon Osman: Threaded a through-ball for Mirallas when he came on for Pienaar. 5.5/10.

Gerard Deulofeu: Smashed in an equalizer off the bench. Talented Spaniard got booked late on. 6/10.

Steven Naismith: Came on inside stoppage for Barkley. Rating N/A.
