Arsenal: 10 Players Wenger Must Sign In January

9. Jonas OlssonClub: West Brom Position: Centre-Back Value: £5-8m A reasonable alternative to Brede Hangeland who would bring a lot of the same attributes, albeit with a good deal more aggression, Olsson is one of the reasons for West Brom's early season good form under new manager Steve Clarke. The Baggies have only conceded seven goals in the Premier League - the fourth lowest of all the teams - and have moved up to the heights of sixth as a result. Tipped for a move away in the summer, the Swede has since apparently put speculation on his future to bed by signing a brand new contract at the club, but we all know what contracts mean in football these days, and an 800% return on the 800k or so West Brom paid NEC Nijmegen back in 2008 would be incredible business for West Brom. Quite how the loss of their talismanic defensive rock would affect the team's form remains to be seen, but the tough-tackling centre-half could be the answer to Arsenal's need for stability and experience at the heart of their own defence. He's also not averse to scoring the odd goal - having notched 11 league goals for West Brom in his time at the club. A genuinely under-rated talent.
