Arsenal: 5 Reasons For Optimism

5. Aaron Ramsey

The form of the young Welshman since the start of the season has been nothing short of sensational. His goals, eight so far, have hogged the headlines but equally impressive has been the amount of ground he has covered, tackles he has won and chances he has created. There were worrying signs a couple of years ago that Ramsey would not fulfil the promise he showed as a youngster at Cardiff and the psychological scars from the Ryan Shawcross tackle were too much for him to overcome. However, not only has Aaron come through that tough period of his career, he is positively flying in the middle of the Arsenal midfield. He also showed his versatility against Napoli by playing out wide when needed and that willingness to work for the team resulted in him setting up the first goal for Mesut Ozil. With Arsenal in four competitions at the moment they are going to need Ramsey€™s energy and drive so long may his injury free run continue.
