4. Finished Last Season Strongly
Their 1-0 victory at St James Park on the final day of the last season sealed their qualification for the Champions League, beating rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the advantage of the much needed financial windfall and pull of Champions League football for potential signings. This resulted in a feel good atmosphere around the club. Arsenal managed to string together an unbeaten run of ten games at the end of last season showing a style and most importantly the consistency that has been lacking in Arsenal teams since 'The Invincibles'. Surely if they carry this forward into the new season then success will be a definite as they not only showed the typical Arsenal passing style we have come to expect under Wenger, but also the steely determination that has vacated itself previously when the going has got tough.
