In previous transfer windows Arsenal have always been known to keep the purse strings tight and look for hidden gems in the French Leagues like Samir Nasri and Laurent Koscielny. Although this year there is a different feeling around the club on the transfer front and with names like Suarez, Higuaín and Rooney all credibly linked with the club it shows that this season Arsenal mean business. The impact of a new signing cannot be underestimated as just one of the aforementioned players singing for the club would leave them in a much stronger position and become a centre point of the team. There is clearly intent this summer at Arsenal and with Wenger promising the fans a big signing and record breaking bids being all over the newspapers I believe that Arsenal will sign at least one key player. This will have a huge bearing on the title as they will be able to stand up and produce the goods in the crucial moments of games. Plus crucially they look like they are going to hold onto all their key players, which they failed to do in previous seasons; Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Robin Van Persie all jumped ship in the hunt for trophies
