Arsenal Transfer News: Luis Suárez Odds-on To Join Gunners

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Uruguayan for some time now, whilst the striker himself is trying to force a move away from Anfield. So far this summer Arsène Wenger has been unsuccessful in attempts to sign both Gonzalo Higuaín and Wayne Rooney. The Argentinian moved from Real Madrid to Napoli, and whilst Rooney is still currently at Manchester United, Chelsea are the current favourites to sign him, should he leave. The only signing Arsenal have completed during the current transfer window is that of Yaya Sanogo from French Ligue 2 side AJ Auxerre who joined on a free transfer. Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott, Gervinho and Lukas Podolski all played up front for Arsenal last season, but manager Wenger appears keen to bring a regular proven goal scorer to the Emirates. Theo Walcott led the team with 14 goals in the 2012-13 Premier League.
