Arsenal Transfers: 10 Dream Signings Wenger Still Needs To Make
2. Wilfried Bony
He might not quite be the marquee signing that Arsenal fans want, but Ivorian Wilfried Bony would be the perfect addition to the attacking line up. Giroud tired last year and Arsenal suffered as their big man increasingly lost his focus on the pitch, while Bony improved as the season went on in a poor Swansea side. Bony is a striker in the exact same mould as Giroud: he is big, strong, technically gifted and isn't afraid to put his foot through the ball, and crucially he bagged over 20 goals for Swansea last year even without a good deal of support for most of the season. When he was able to play with Michu he looked even better, and if you replace the now exited Spaniard with the likes of Cazorla, Theo and Sanchez, the potential for goals at Arsenal would be very exciting. Cheaper than most European strikers - read Martinez or Mandzukic - and a tested Premier League goalscorer, Bony would represent a very intelligent piece of business from Wenger even at the near £20m fee he'd likely command.
I have been described as a sportsman with the brain of an athlete and the body of a scientist. Since it was established that playing wouldn't work out for me I have taken to writing.
