Arsenal Transfers: 10 Strikers Arsene Wenger Must Target This Summer

4. Edinson Cavani

A series of top Premier League sides were put on high alert back in January when Edinson Cavani revealed he in unhappy at PSG, despite having only joined the French champions last summer. Cavani joined the Ligue 1 club from Napoli 12 months ago but already rumours have surfaced suggesting the goal machine is unsettled in the French capital and wants to quit. Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal all have an interest in the Uruguayan hitman, with the Gunners reportedly willing to smash their transfer record and sign the 27-year-old with a £61 million bid. PSG spent £53 million to sign Cavani from Italy only a year ago and it would take a massive offer to persuade them to sell, the type of money Arsenal have infamously been unwilling to spend on top players down the years. It would take a dramatic U-turn in transfer policy for Wenger to sanction such a deal, and however unlikely it may seem, it would be a signing that would make Arsenal massive contenders again.
