When Andre Santos signed to Arsenal from Turkish giants Fenerbache for £6.2 million, you could almost hear fans Youtubing him to proclaim on social media that they'd been watching him for years and how he was the perfect attacking full back for Arsenal. Those people - as ever - were entirely wrong.

While Santos certainly had some silky skills and a rather tasty free kick in his locker, he didn't have the energy to run up and down the pitch like a modern day left back should be able to do and, frankly, he really couldn't defend to save his life.

After making 25 league appearances for the Gunners in two seasons, Santos went on loan to Gremio before he was shipped backed to Flamengo where he lasted all of one season. The last time the 32-year-old made headlines was when he was beaten up and put in hospital by a Flamengo fan due to the team's poor performances.
