4. Sebastien Corchia
It's hard to believe Arsenal right back Bacary Sagna turns 31 in Ferburary. Doesn't time fly? The defender is also out of contract in the summer and Wenger may move to secure a successor in January. Sochaux's Corchia, 23, has been linked consistently with the Gunners throughout the last six months. With 26 Under-21 caps for France under his belt he could take over from Sagna for both club and country. Corchia may be forgiven for wanting quit Sochaux after two and a half seasons' worth of perpetual struggling. His side are currently propping up the Ligue 1 table, but have escaped relegation in each of the last two years.
Corchia even hinted at a winter exit in September. Other than potential, however, the fullback shows little signings of offering Arsenal anything else. No assists and a solitary goal in the French Cup are hardly worth writing home about. Perhaps the tabloid rumours that surfaced this past week are true.
Everton's Seamus Coleman is certainly a more attractive prospect for Gunners fans. Right back is eventually going to become an issue for Arsenal. Sagna's legs are ageing even if he signs a new deal and Carl Jenkinson has rather underwhelmed when stepping up from second choice for the last two matches. Corchia represents a gamble.
