2. Miralem Pjanic
The Roma midfielder has been on the radar of a number of the Premier League' top clubs this summer including Tottenham and Manchester City, and is considered one of Europe's hottest talents. The attacking midfielder, 23,
is wanted by Arsenal and
almost signed for the Gunners on 2011's summer transfer deadline day, but a move failed to come to fruition. The then Lyon ace came close to joining the likes of Per Mertesacker and Mikel Arteta in joining the Londoners that day but instead honoured his father's promise to Roma that he would join the Italian club. Described as an
"old-fashioned playmaker with huge technical qualities", Pjanic could become the next Cesc Fabregas or is at the very least a decent alternative for one. But Wenger would first have to fend off a long list of admirers for Pjanic's services, with Barcelona also understood to be interested in the player.
