Arsenal Transfers: 5 Players Arsene Wenger Must Sign To Save His Job

5. Julio Cesar

julio cesar Every time I write a list such as these about Arsenal and who they should sign this summer, QPR shot-stopper Julio Cesar almost invariably springs to mind before anyone else. More so following that disastrous weekend display against Aston Villa which made the Gunner's back-line look more fallible than ever before. Particularly Wojciech Szczesny, who hardly covered himself in glory - conceding a penalty and shipping three goals. And just what was the Polish international doing exactly when he raced off his goal-line to challenge Christian Benteke as though he were a centre-back? He's hardly a safe pair of hands. And that makes the fact Arsene Wenger hasn't signed Cesar yet all the more mystifying. The Brazilian has just enjoyed a stellar Confederations Cup tournament of which he was awarded the Golden Glove Award, and with relegated QPR keen to get him off their books, surely now is the best time to strike? Italian outfits Napoli and Fiorentina have been interested in the past but his future is still far from resolved and Arsenal remain in the chase.
