As Chelsea's newest goal machine is currently proving, goals in the Premier League and the Champions League are expensive, and if Arsene Wenger wants to replace Olivier Giroud on the last day of the window, he's going to have to pay a lot. Right now, whether he's going to be willing to pay the astronomical £20m loan fee that Monaco are apparently asking for Falcao remains to be seen. It's unlikely, but if Falcao scores 30 goals and fires the Gunners to Premier League and Champions League glory, then that fee will look piffling. And so will the £10m it would cost in wages. Wenger isn't exactly known for spending ridiculous amounts of money, but he has changed policy recently to bring in the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil and a temporary deal for Falcao might be the right option for both, as long as there can be some movement on the fee. Liverpool could not convince the Colombian to join, but Arsenal would be more attractive, and there may be business to be done permanently for not too much more than £20m, even as Monaco look like they want to recoup some of the £50m they spent to get him. Which of these deals would you most like Arsenal to confirm today? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread.
